Forum Theater

Forum Theater is an interactive theater method in which workers performance real scenes of their worksites in order to describe specific aspects related with hazards. It is used as a method of adult learning using theater to explore and understand behaviors. The final result is a representation of the real scenes that workers live in their job sites*.

Steps to conduct a Forum Theater activity

 

  1. Select a story that participants have heard or write a story “back-up story”
  2. Ask for the volunteers to play the roles and use brainstorm about other possible roles in the story
  3. Act the story
  4. Discuss results with participants about strategies to improve this situation
