The presentation: A Community-Based Participatory Approach to Preventing Falls and Silica Exposure Among Latino Construction Workers shows results from the assessment phase of this intervention research project among researchers from several countries. Latino Summit Presentation, April -2010 Several Protección en Construcción researchers and one construction supervisor from Lawrence attended The National Action Summit for Latino Worker Health Safety held on April 14-15 in Houston, Texas. Sunilda Peguero, and Juan and Ceferina Williams, members of the Outreach team, presented a poster about involving the Lawrence community in our project. Milagro Grullon presented on the preliminary findings of our study and highlighted the intervention model being developed by the team. More than 1000 people attended this summit, the first conference of its kind organized by OSHA.
